ABOUT

WORK EXPERIENCE

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER (CONTRACT), PG&E

2020-Present

Provide Instructional Design services to a variety of internal clients, ranging from Electric and Gas, to IT and Human Resources.

  • Created Project Analysis documentation for Safety and Compliance curriculum. Ensured objectives met with Utility Standards and that there were measurements in place for all key tasks.

  • Updated Step Progression Testing for key apprenticeship programs. Worked with subject matter experts to bring testing questions up to current standards. Ran answer verification sessions and created new assessments in QuestionMark.

  • Developed Safety and Compliance curriculum. Created new and updated eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING MANAGER, MIDPEN HOUSING CORPORATION

2018-2020


Instrumental in transitioning from a decentralized to a centralized training model. This included the development and coordination of a multi-level Leadership Development program and converting many in-person training sessions to a virtual or web-based format due to the pandemic and shelter-in-place orders. Developed the instructional design and delivery skills of two direct reports and nine training delegates from different departments. Designed and developed instructor-led and web-based training solutions for company-wide distribution. Completed job mapping and alignment of competencies for key roles within the company to serve as a basis for competency-based training.

  • Created a training strategy that included General Education for all employees, specialized programs for departments, and a multi-tiered Leadership Development Program – New Managers, Developing Leaders, and Tenured Leaders.

  • Implemented and marketed the company’s first learning management system.

    • All Employees completed at least one course, within the first siz months.

    • 80% of employees were accessing the system at least one time per month in the first year.

  • Coordinated all scheduling, logistics, and development of pre-class training for the eight-month implementation of a new Property Management and Accounting software solution, which was rolled out to  400 employees.

  • Completely redesigned New Employee Orientation, taking it from a passive half-day presentation to an interactive full day, which provided information on the company, benefits, policies, and integral systems.

SENIOR CHANGE LEAD, PG&E

2015-2017


Provided change and continuous improvement services and support for technical documents, and multiple PG&E Customer Affordability Roadmap (CAR) initiatives, to ensure that stakeholders were prepared for technology, process and organizational changes.

  • I was the Change Lead on four Initiatives to drive back office efficiencies with potential savings impact of over
    $30,000,000.

  • Partnered with IT, PG&E Academy, and project teams to incorporate change activities into the overall project plan.

  • Supported and mentored Initiative Leads to develop required deliverables at each step in the approval process.

  • I provided training and created tools to assess the needs of stakeholders impacted by new and updated compliance documents, enabling the team to be self-sufficient.

SENIOR LEARNING STRATEGIST, PG&E

2012-2015


Managed training projects for the Enterprise Systems Curriculum Development team within PG&E Academy.

  • Served as Performance Consultant with clients, IT, and subject matter experts.

  • I hired, on-boarded, and successfully managed a team of six Instructional Designers and ten Instructors through a dynamic, two-year, multi-million-dollar initiative which trained 2,500+ people and shifted the organization from paper-based processes to SAP and mobile tracking of corrective and preventative work.

  • Supervised resources and training material development and administered large-scale training budgets.

  • Compiled and distributed weekly and final project reports on training outcomes.

  • I designed and coordinated a process for creating SAP training notifications, in partnership with SAP Operations, making it possible to easily duplicate notifications for real-life training scenarios within minutes.

2009-2012

 

Delivered client facing performance consulting with business channels to determine the right solution to close performance gaps. Completed of all phases of the ADDIE model, from preliminary meeting to implementation and evaluation for instructor-led and web-based courses.

  • Developed and maintained ongoing relationships with clients and subject matter experts.

  • Exceled at meeting tight deadlines.

  • Created updated curriculum for Gas Service Representatives, including instructor-led and web-based courses.

  • Worked as Instructional Designer with Enterprise Systems team to develop recruiting, hiring, and system videos, and WBT courses for SAP E-Recruiting training program.

  • Recruited as Senior Learning Strategist for Asset Maintenance Local Transmission and Distribution project.
